J.P. 摩根 agrees to acquire OpenInvest, a pioneer in values-based investing
Accelerates ESG investing capabilities for 财富管理 clients
NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, June 29, 2021 – J.P. 摩根 today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire OpenInvest, a leading financial technology company that helps financial professionals customize and report on values-based investments. The company will retain its own brand and be integrated into J.P. 摩根’s Private Bank and 财富管理 client offerings. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Backed by capital from 安山好瑞, Y Combinator, QED, 和其他人, OpenInvest was founded in 2015 with a core focus on helping advisors unlock the true impact of their clients’ investments.

OpenInvest was advised by Moelis & Company LLC as financial advisor, and Morrison & Foerster LLP served as legal counsel. Dechert LLP served as legal counsel to J.P. 摩根 during the acquisition process. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
